Sharing Happiness through Coffee
Hana Roastery is a specialty coffee roastery established in Surabaya, Indonesia, in 2020. Born in the midst of the pandemic, when many people struggled to enjoy good coffee at home, Hana began with a simple intention: to share moments of happiness through coffee, one cup at a time.
From the very beginning, our journey has been guided by care, dedication, and curiosity. We work with producers from across Indonesia and beyond, choosing coffees we believe in and roasting them with intention. Every decision we make, from sourcing to roasting, is carefully considered to honor the character of each coffee and the hard work behind it.
Our approach to roasting is simple and honest. We aim to highlight what is already there. The sweetness, clarity, and unique identity of every lot. Each coffee is cupped, evaluated, and adjusted with care, because no two coffees are ever the same. Quality and consistency have always been part of our daily practice, from measuring roast color to cupping every batch before it reaches you.
This quiet dedication eventually led to a milestone we are deeply grateful for, when our founder, *Steven Nurcahyana*, won the Indonesia Coffee Roasting Championship in 2024. For us, it was never just about a title, but a reminder that doing things with intention truly matters.
Today, Hana Roastery continues to grow through partnerships with cafes, restaurants, and businesses across Indonesia. Through our wholesale program, we share not only coffee, but also stories, values, and a shared respect for the craft.
At its heart, Hana Roastery is about connection. Between producers and roasters, between coffee and people, and between moments shared over a cup. We are grateful to be part of your daily rituals, and we invite you to continue this journey with us as we keep sharing happiness through coffee.
