This coffee comes from Mewa, a community in West Arsi, Ethiopia, a region that has gained recognition for producing expressive coffees with vibrant fruit character and elegant florality. Situated at high elevations, the combination of cool temperatures, fertile soil, and slow cherry maturation allows the coffees to develop remarkable sweetness and complexity.
The cherries are sourced from smallholder farmers and carefully processed using the natural method. Only fully ripe cherries are selected before being slowly dried on raised African beds. Throughout the drying process, the cherries are regularly turned and sorted to ensure even drying and preserve clarity while enhancing sweetness and fruit intensity.
In the cup, this coffee is beautifully balanced, with notes of peach, orange, and oolong tea. It is sweet, delicate, and refreshing, showcasing the clean fruit character that makes Ethiopian natural coffees so beloved around the world.
