Coming from Worka Chelchele in Gedeb, southern Ethiopia, this coffee represents the delicate and expressive character we love from washed Ethiopian coffees.
Grown by local smallholder farmers in the highlands of Gedeb, the cool climate and high elevation provide ideal conditions for slow cherry maturation, contributing to the coffee's beautiful sweetness and delicate floral qualities.
For this lot, carefully selected cherries undergo a Fully Washed process, where the skin and pulp are removed before the coffee is fermented, washed, and slowly dried on raised beds. This traditional method helps highlight the coffee's natural clarity, vibrant acidity, and elegant aromatics.
In the cup, expect delicate chrysanthemum florals, followed by bright orange and juicy mango, with a refreshing sweetness and a clean, lingering finish.
